Moving north to Denver as a
newlywed couple in 1945, Jose and Josie establish their new residence,
where they will remain for their entire lives. On the winter solstice
of 1948, Josie gives birth to Jerry, the couple's second of four
children and only son.
Josie recalls years later that as a babe in arms, Jerry used to fuss,
cry and point until she would walk him over to any picture that might be
hanging on a wall. He would immediately calm down and become engrossed
with the image. |
